Markoe Point

Markoe Point lies on the southern end of Cooper Island and is a quieter alternative to the better-known sites in the channel. The underwater terrain is the appeal: a sloping reef and rock formations running down from the point, covered in hard and soft coral, with schooling fish along the drop and larger pelagics passing in the deeper water offshore.
What you will see at Markoe Point
It is more of a dive site than a casual snorkel. The interesting structure sits deeper than the reef at Cistern Point, and the exposure is greater — the site works best in settled conditions with light wind, and it can be uncomfortable when the swell is running from the south or east.
Because it is off the main mooring field, it is usually visited by dive boat rather than from your own tender. Any competent BVI dive operator will know it, and your captain can arrange a pickup.

For crews who dive and want something less trafficked than the Rhone or the Indians, Markoe Point is worth asking about.
