Get Crewed is run by two people who spent five seasons living and working aboard the same kind of crewed catamarans we now book for you. We have set the anchor, cooked the dinner, poured the sundowners and settled the guests into their cabins. That is the difference between reading a brochure and knowing which boat and which crew will make your week. In 2022 our guests voted us Crew of the Year across the fleet we sailed with, so we know exactly what a great crew looks like from the inside.

Charter captain 2019 to 2024 · Yacht charter broker
Cory grew up sailing the Chesapeake Bay and raced at a national level, winning local and regional championships in Optimists, Lasers, 420s, J-22s and J-105s. His family chartered in the British Virgin Islands, St. Maarten and the Bahamas from 1996 on, and for more than ten years he skippered Moorings bareboats through these same anchorages, logging the sea time that became his captain’s license.
From 2019 to 2024 he captained week-long, all-inclusive term charters in the US and British Virgin Islands and the Bahamas aboard the Sunreef 60 Euphoria and the Lagoon 620 Dream Beauty: captain, bartender, kiteboard instructor and divemaster, all in one. In 2023 he served as mate and engineer on the Sunreef 80 Ohana for her delivery from Ibiza, Spain, to the Virgin Islands, nearly 5,000 miles, then stayed aboard her in the BVI from November 2023 to March 2024.
Before the boats, he owned and ran Ocean Extreme Sports, a kitesurf and paddleboard shop in St. Augustine, Florida, for seven years, and holds a degree in Air Traffic Management from Embry-Riddle with a commercial multi-engine pilot’s license. Honest, direct and allergic to hidden costs.

Emily Busichio
USCG captain · Charter chef, mate and chief stew · Yacht charter broker, 100+ charters booked
Emily was raised on the Georgia coast by two USCG Master captains who run fishing charters, and she worked as their mate and deckhand for nearly a decade. Fifteen years in hospitality followed, most of it as lead server at a St. Augustine restaurant voted one of the top 100 in the country, where she learned wine from sommeliers and service from the best.
From 2019 to 2023 she was the chef and mate aboard the Sunreef 60 Euphoria, writing menus around each group’s preference sheet with local produce, fresh-caught fish and a southern touch. She then joined the Sunreef 80 Ohana as chief stew, running signature cocktails, wine pairings and the interior, and crossed her first ocean from Ibiza, Spain, to the Virgin Islands. Trained at Ashburton Cooking School, she spent her off-seasons in Europe sharpening her craft through culinary courses and wine tastings.
As a broker she has placed more than 100 groups on crewed charters, and she knows what a crew needs to hear before you step aboard, because she has been the chef.

Four things you get from brokers who have crewed
We know the crews, not just the listings
We have shared docks, dinghy runs and anchorages with these captains and chefs. When we say a crew is a fit for a family with teenagers, or for a couples’ trip that wants quiet, it is because we have watched them work.
We have run the galley and the bar
Emily wrote menus from preference sheets for four seasons. She knows which requests a chef can nail in the islands, which ones need a workaround, and how to word yours so the crew gets it right.
We have been the captain
Cory knows what a week in the BVI looks like from the helm: which anchorages hold in a swell, how far you can really sail in a day, and when to slow down. Your itinerary gets planned by someone who has sailed it.
Blunt about money
The rate is all-inclusive. Gratuity is ±20% of your charter rate, scaled up or down for the level of service received. Flights, ferries, taxis and tipping are the only extras, and we tell you that up front, not at the dock.

Cory owns and runs a kitesurf and paddleboard shop in St. Augustine; Emily teaches kitesurfing and paddleboard yoga and runs kitesurf trips to the Bahamas by catamaran.
