Diamond Reef

Diamond Reef lies in the sheltered water between Great Camanoe and Scrub Island, and it is one of the gentlest sites in the BVI — which is exactly what makes it useful. The reef is shallow, the ground is mostly flat, and the conditions are usually calm, so it works for beginner divers, for snorkellers, and for anyone taking a first look underwater.
What you will see at Diamond Reef
The reef itself is a healthy fringing system with hard coral, sea fans and a steady population of reef fish. Turtles are seen regularly in the surrounding grass beds, and rays move over the sand patches.
There are National Parks moorings on the site, so no anchoring is required. Because it sits in protected water, it is often diveable on days when the exposed sites on the south and west are uncomfortable — which makes it a good back-pocket option for your captain when the forecast turns.
