A bright red sponge on a British Virgin Islands reef, its colour returned by a dive light. Colour disappears with depth, which is why sponges look grey until they are lit. Filmed while diving and snorkelling in the British Virgin Islands. The reefs across the BVI sit largely within the National Parks system and the protection shows in the density of coral and fish life.
