About this 2024 Lagoon 55
Launched in 2024, Rhapsody II is one of the newest Lagoon 55 catamarans sailing the British Virgin Islands, and it shows in every polished surface and sun-washed lounge area. Her four ensuite queen cabins comfortably sleep eight guests, while the open-plan salon, flybridge, and twin cockpit dining areas give everyone room to spread out, nap in the shade, or gather for sundowners as the anchorage lights up gold. Solar panels and a lithium battery bank keep the air conditioning running through the night without a noisy generator, and an onboard Starlink connection means guests can stay as plugged in, or unplugged, as they like. At the helm are Captain Terry Ross and Chef/Mate Ruth Ross, an Irish couple who have called the BVI home for more than a decade after crossing the Atlantic four times and running charter and private boats from the Bahamas to the Mediterranean.

Worth Knowing
- 48-hour minimum turnaround required between back-to-back charters
- Scuba diving is available by rendezvous with a local dive operator only – it is not included in the base charter rate
- Charters shorter than a full week are prorated from the weekly rate rather than offered at a flat nightly rate
- Christmas and New Year’s charters require a 7-night minimum within the operator’s specified holiday windows
- Crew are fully vaccinated for COVID-19

Meet the Crew
Terry and Ruth Ross are an Irish husband-and-wife team who have run charter and private yachts together for about 20 years, crossing the Atlantic four times and working boats across the Bahamas, the wider Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and the Irish and UK coasts before settling in the BVI more than twelve years ago. Terry is a commercially endorsed MCA Yachtmaster (sail and power); Ruth trained at culinary schools in France, England, and Ireland and cooks a produce-driven menu tailored to guests’ dietary needs.
