Cooper Island Beach Club is a small, deliberately low-key resort on Manchioneel Bay that has become one of the most popular overnight stops in the BVI — partly for the setting, and partly because it does sustainability properly rather than decoratively. The property runs largely on solar, makes its own water, and has cut single-use plastic to a minimum.

What to expect at Cooper Island Beach Club

For visiting crews the draw is the combination on one short stretch of beach: a restaurant with a genuinely good kitchen, a rum bar with one of the deepest collections in the Caribbean, and a micro-brewery pouring beer made on site. It is a rare BVI stop where you could happily spend an entire evening ashore.

Booking a dinner table is sensible in season, and the mooring field fills early in high season — arriving mid-afternoon is wiser than arriving at sunset.

Getting there on your crewed charter

Manchioneel Bay is well sheltered from the prevailing easterlies, with a large field of moorings and a straightforward dinghy dock. Cistern Point at the north end of the bay offers good snorkelling a few minutes away.
