One Love Bar & Grill sits on White Bay a short walk along the sand from the Soggy Dollar, and it has a character entirely its own. Built and run by Seddy Callwood, it is a cheerful pile of salvage, flotsam, license plates and hand-painted signs, and Seddy is as likely to perform a magic trick with your drink as he is to simply serve it.

What to expect at One Love Bar & Grill

The bushwacker is the house specialty — a blended, creamy rum drink that is considerably stronger than it tastes. There is food too, and the kitchen turns out straightforward grilled fish and burgers.

It is a good example of why White Bay is worth more than a single stop: the three or four bars along this beach have genuinely different personalities, and crews often spend an afternoon working slowly from one end to the other.

Getting there on your crewed charter

White Bay has moorings off the reef, but the beach is a swim or a wet dinghy landing through surf. Many crews anchor in Great Harbour and take a taxi over the hill instead.
